Adverting to the above subject, in response to e-mail received from respected Chief functionary from Bhumika Women Collective, I am to state that, to avoid delay in conducting the trial of cases where women are victim, on the suggestions of Hon'ble High Court of A.P., cases of similar nature, have been transferred to few Courts to expedite the disposal. I am herewith furnishing the particulars of the cases transferred on the directions of the Hon'ble Chief Justice of High Court of A.P.
1. There were about 726 cases relating to Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act pending in twenty one (21) Special Magistrate Courts. These cases have been withdrawn and transferred to III and IV Metropolitan Magistrate Courts, Hyderabad for the convenience of parties and for speedy disposal. Therefore, the parties have to attend the said two Courts hereafter.
2. There are about 441 cases relating to the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 pending in seventeen (17) Addl. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Courts. All these cases have been withdrawn and transferred to the Court of Special JFCM, where there is less pendency of excise cases.
3. As far as the offences relating to Section 498-A IPC and the Dowry Prohibition Act are concerned, the cases are distributed for speed trial to two Courts, zone wise viz., Mahila Court designated as XIII Addl. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad for disposal of cases filed from Women Police Station, Central crime station and other police stations of all zones; and XV Addl. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, for women police stations of South and North Zones.
In view of the direction of the Hon'ble High Court, the above cases have been transferred for speedy trial by withdrawing from various Courts to the above said Courts.
